With Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen fast approaching, partners might be in a panic regarding what to buy their nearest and dearest! With so many amazing places for a bite to eat here in North Wales, how about a lovely meal in one of these restaurants?
It’s easy to see why Catch 22 is one of the most, if not THE most popular restaurant on Anglesey. The staff are great, their menu uses the finest ingredients with a local touch, the atmosphere is relaxed but best of all, the food is outstanding. Their Snickers trifle is pure indulgence! It’s an ideal setting for a date, and you’re sure to win some brownie points for choosing this place.

Caffi Clena
If you like quirky settings and an amazing menu inspired by street food - then look no further than Caffi Clena in Upper Bangor. Situated in what was a Greek restaurant, this place is full of charm with nooks and crannies everywhere, a perfect romantic setting! I particularly enjoy their waffles and I’ve heard very good things about their cocktails also!
If you want a stunning setting with spectacular views, then Tavern on the Bay on Anglesey is perfect. Situated at Traeth Coch (Red Wharf Bay), the seaviews are breath-taking. On top of that, the food is exceptional every time; classic meals but of a very high standard. There’s something to please all tastes here. After enjoying your meals, a walk on the beach, situated right in front of the restaurant, would be a perfect ending to a lovely date!

Villa Marina, Caernarfon
This Italian restaurant has long been a favourite of mine. I’ve been here for family meals, celebration meals and date nights. It’s cosy, the service is always impeccable, and their dishes are stunning! Their brownies are also epic. After your meal, a romantic walk around the Castle and within the walled town is a fantastic end to any date.
Situted in the picturesque village of Moelfre on Anglesey, Ann’s Pantry is located in gorgeous surroundings. They have a varied menu, as well as tasty cakes, and the staff are always very attentive and friendly. The cosy ambiency inside is ideal for a date and is always a place that’s close to my heart, as this is where my husband and I came here for a lovely meal, before he proposed to me!
